Fall Fun Fest

Wow, with 76 degrees and partly cloudy skies, Fall Fun Fest is looking fantastic for this coming Sunday, 9am to 5pm! Come and see the antique car show, military displays, petting zoo, fife and drum ensemble, drill team, bourbon tasting, Sherman Tower tour, food trucks, beer, bounce house, inflatable soccer, carnival games, Alter Kameraden German band, children story readings and the Accordion Queen of Washington, D.C. What a day!

Happy Hour, Volunteering

happy2This has been a hot summer at the Soldiers’ Home!  We’ve been inside every Tuesday night we get together for Happy Hour – but that hasn’t tamed the good times.  With the Nam Knights serving drinks, Points of Light joining us to enjoy, and so many of the residents coming down to enjoy a good time, the Friends of the Soldiers Home helped create a great party.

Come and join us this Fall as we enjoy the last Tuesday night of the month at Happy Hour with the residents. Write volunteerfriendsofsoldiers (at) gmail (dot) com to learn more.
